Collaborator has stopped working with the latest stable update

Michael | Last updated: Sep 02, 2024 05:45PM UTC

Hi all, When using a public and private collaborator server, I am unable to receive incoming lookups and requests. I have confirmed this issue with several other coworkers, and noted that the health check consistently fails for everyone on the final step: "Polling server connection" I have since rolled back to 2024.6.6 yet the issue still remains. There are no firewall issues on my end and collaborator was working just fine up until the new update. I have tried many of the troubleshooting steps already mentioned in the forums already with no positive result. I do, however, get an HTTP 400 when browsing to polling.oastify.com and I'm not sure if this is expected or not.

Hi Thanks for getting in touch. The HTTP 400 response is expected when you visit polling.oastify.com. Do you use an upstream proxy server or does your organization have any software that may be intercepting the HTTPS traffic to polling.oastify.com? If so, in the past have you imported the CA for an internal server into the Java cacerts file being used by Burp to allow these connections to work? The version of Java has recently been updated so it's possible that if you needed to do this in the past , you may now need to repeat the process after the Java update. When you browse to https://oastify.com from your normal browser, what certificate does the browser show for the site? Which CA has signed it?
