Clear the Scan Queue and Site Map from API

Hi, With the introduction of Project files in Burp 1.7+, all the data is saved automatically including Target SiteMap and Scanner Scan Queue into Project files, which is very useful. However, these tend to grow over a period of time and there is no option to clear the SiteMap and clear the Scan Queue from API. I think, one can clear few items from SiteMap thru UI, but not from API. Scan Queue items cannot be cleared even from UI. I hope there is a way to perform these thru API. Btw, we use Burp Suite Pro for automating the scans. Thanks!

There isn't any way to remove items via the API. Although you can't delete scan queue items via the UI, you can cancel them, and select the option to hide finished items, so that cancelled items are hidden. The reason why you can't fully delete items in the scan queue is that Burp might receive deferred Collaborator interactions for those items, and it needs to retain the original scan queue item to be able to handle and report the interaction correctly.
