change personal setting directory

fusillator | Last updated: Aug 12, 2023 09:44AM UTC

hi, how can I change the directory with the personal setting ~/.BurpSuite when I have more version installed to keep separate the environments? Is there some variable or parameter to change at runtime/installation time so that all the option involving the personal directory would use the new directory? I'd rather avoid to copy manually the directory everytime I change the env if possible Regards Luca

Hi Which particular settings do you need to separate between the different environments?

Hi the options that could be involved by extensions.. the problem is some upgraded extension is incompatible and not installable with old relase of burpsuite And there's a gap between the porting in the development branch of the os, so the need to install manually the jar to test it and eventually create the package.

Hi Can you tell me more about the scenarios where you want to use an older version of Burp and so need to use an older version of a particular extension? In these cases, what is it that would prevent you from using the latest version of Burp?

As a matter of fact I'm using the latest version of Burp to try the new extensions and I thought to not mess around with the configuration of the distro package if avoidable, should I return to the distro package for whatever reason. Sounds excessive?
