Change default port for Burp Enterprise after installation

chandraveer | Last updated: Dec 05, 2018 09:54AM UTC

Hi, I am evaluating Burp Enterprise and kept default port 8080 while installing. After a while, I installed some another application which runs on 8080. Now I am facing a port conflict issue in running Burp Enterprise. Can you suggest some way to change the port for Burp?

You can change the port via Proxy > Options > Proxy Listeners. Ensure you change the port in your browser settings also.

Hey. Is there a way to permanently set this rather than per project? Thanks, RJ

If you navigate to Menu > Settings > Network there is a Web server port option in Burp Suite Enterprise will change the port value. In regards to Burp Suite Community/Professional, there isn't a way to set proxy listeners in a global setting as these are usually application (project) specific.

Hi, I'm logged in as an admin and went to Menu > Settings > Network to change the web server port. However, it's not allowing me to type into the input field. What could be the issue?
