Change Burp from temporary to disk project mode

Paul | Last updated: Jan 23, 2018 03:35PM UTC

When saving a temporary project as a disk project, it would be great to have the option to also convert Burp into disk project mode, so that you can do things which are not possible in temporary project mode like (for example) import a project.

Thanks for the request. We might consider making changes to this feature, however, it's not something we'll be working on in the near future.

Hello, just reopening the thread, as I am in the same situation. Started a new temporary project and finally want to save it. It would be great to be able to convert temporary project into disk project. Haven't found the option so far...

Hi You can save temporary project files to disk by going to "Project > Save copy" in Burp. This allows you to save a copy of the project file to your file system. You can also choose the contents of the project file to include. Hope this helps!

Hello! I just passed the BurpSuite Practitioner Exam but I accidentally have it on a Temporary project. For some reason, when I click "Save a Copy," nothing happens. PLEASE HELP! I want my certification!
