cannot get burp proxy to work with firefox

kawz | Last updated: Jul 21, 2016 05:25AM UTC

not sure what is going wrong with this. I have all settings correct. In burp i have the interface set to 127.0.0.1 and port set as 8080 (I have tried other ports as well). In firefox I Have the proxy set to http://127.0.0.1:8080 and "Use this proxy for all protocols" selected. When I try to browse from firefox I get "Server not found" same message when intercept is on or off in burp. I have this working on my laptop and the settings look identical. Anyone have an idea what the issue is? Thanks.

Hi Kawz Thanks for your message. Is your laptop configured correctly on the same network? Does your network have any security features, such as a firewall? Have you tried using a different browser?

Hi Felix. What issues are you having downloading the certificate? Have you configured your browser to work with Burp? - https://support.portswigger.net/customer/portal/articles/1783055-Installing_Configuring%20your%20Browser.html

You have to go to http://burp and download the certificate of burb then import that in mozilla certificate section then it will work
