Can't Send Request to Organizer from Logger

ServerGhost | Last updated: Jun 05, 2023 03:49PM UTC

When attempting to send a request from the Logger tab to the Organizer tab, the request does not appear in the Organizer tab. Although the Organizer tab highlights, it does not display the request after navigating to it. Steps to Reproduce: 1. Navigate to the Logger tab. 2. Right-click on a specific request in the Logger tab and Select the "Send to Organizer". 3. Notice that Organizer tab highlights but does not display request.

I second this, on Burp Pro v2023.5.2 I can only send requests from Scanner to Organizer. Other sources (Repeater, Logger, Proxy) make the Organizer tab highlight, but nothing shows up in the table.

Hi I have not been able to replicable this issue. However, for other users who have encountered this problem, the issue was resolved after uninstalling and reinstalling it.

Hi I have the same problem on my burp. I'm currently using Early Adapter version. This not only happens with Organizer, it also happens with other extensions such as Auto Repeater. I think it has to do with the request response, as it works 100% when you send a request that has no response. However, when sending a request that contains a response, it fails.

I forgot to mention that I uninstalled and reinstalled and it didn't work. I also downgraded to 2023.5.3 and the problem stills present. Thanks!

Hi Can you send a screen recording of this problem occurring, as we are having difficulties replicating the issue? You can send this to support@portswigger.net.

Joel | Last updated: Jun 07, 2023 02:33PM UTC

Dominyque, thank you for your help, I've just sent you a video showing you the issue. Have a nice day!

adam997 | Last updated: Jun 12, 2023 09:29AM UTC

It has started to work for me as soon as I updated to Burp v2023.05.3 (even though nothing related to this is in the changelog). Before I've also tried to restart Burp and my computer, to no avail.

adam997 | Last updated: Jun 14, 2023 07:18PM UTC

For some reason it stopped working on the same project it did properly just a couple of hours ago. Now I'm only able to add items from Scanner, even though I've added some from Proxy before.

I still have this issue with Burp v2023.05.3.

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jun 15, 2023 07:24AM UTC

Hi It does seem to be an intermittent issue. There is a bug ticket for it, and hopefully, a fix will soon be released. I will update this thread when the fix goes live.

Hi Everyone, I just wanted to check if anyone was still experiencing issues sending requests to the Organiser. If you can please let me know, that would be great; thank you!

KNI | Last updated: Jun 21, 2023 10:04AM UTC

Hi Dominyque, try with hxxps://ifconfig.io/all.json - from Repeater

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jun 21, 2023 10:10AM UTC

Hi Thank you for that! Have you tried it on the latest version as well? v2023.5.4?

KNI | Last updated: Jun 21, 2023 10:24AM UTC

Hi, I'm using Early Adopter 2023.6.1-21199.

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jun 21, 2023 10:26AM UTC

Hi Thank you for confirming this. I will pass this info along to the devs.

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jun 21, 2023 10:39AM UTC

Hi all Can you confirm which OS you are running Burp on, please?

Peleus | Last updated: Jun 23, 2023 03:28AM UTC

Can confirm this is still an issue on v2023.6.1-21199 (Early Adopter). Using it on Windows 11.

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jun 23, 2023 06:36AM UTC

Hi Thank you for that information Peleus!

Krishna | Last updated: Jun 23, 2023 07:38AM UTC

I'm running it on Kali Linux and the problem persists (v2023.6.1)

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jun 23, 2023 07:46AM UTC

Thank you, Krishna, for the information!

Hi Ciaran Thank you for your information. I will add it to the list!

Jeremy | Last updated: Jul 05, 2023 01:55PM UTC

Any updates on this? Encountered this Bug again today. Using Burp Suite Professional v2023.6.2

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jul 05, 2023 02:05PM UTC

Hi Jeremy Unfortunately, there have been no updates on this yet. It seems to be an intermittent issue. Therefore the devs are having a more challenging time trying to replicate it. I will update this thread when the fix goes live.

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jul 07, 2023 06:39AM UTC

Hi all I wanted to update the thread- the fix of this bug will be in the next release

Volodia | Last updated: Jul 20, 2023 08:09AM UTC

Hi all I also got the same issue (unable to send requests from proxy or repeater to organizer, the tab blinks but nothing gets added; somehow it however works from target source) using BurpPro v2023.7 (early adopter) on Windows 10. I noticed the issue appears when working on old projects that had been created with older versions of Burp (I can't say for sure which version though, unless there would be a way to get it from the project file). If I create a fresh temporary or on disk project then it seems to work as expected.

Dominyque, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Jul 20, 2023 08:21AM UTC

Hi Volodia Thank you for reporting your issue and the additional information- it is very helpful! The developers are currently working on the fix. I will update this thread when a fix has been released.
