Burpsuite Replay Login Recorder not working

thanhpt | Last updated: Sep 28, 2023 09:38AM UTC

Hi team, Currently we used BurpSuite Login Sequences to record my login to web application on almost our website for automatic scan. But today I encounter an error that after I recorded login sequences, I start a new scan, and want to replay the login sequences but all I got is an empty page with Burp Logger show: Error, Source: Replayer, Unexpected Error. All website before are OK LRS, but this only web show this error. Is there any way so I can check the log or error detail of reason why this is failed ?

Hi Which version of Burp are you using? Does the Dashboard's Event Log (with the debug filter enabled) give you any further detail as to why the login sequence may have failed?

We are using BurpSuite Professional 2023.10.2 Windows version The Dashboard event log only show 1 line: Time: time here Type: Error Source: Replayer Message: Unexpected error That is very confuse because there is no other debug information. When I clicked on Replay button, the browser pop-up, show empty page and then close.

Hi What happens when you launch the embedded browser using Burp? Does it work normally and allow you to browse, or does that also show an empty page?

Yes, I record the login script using Embedded Browser. Everything works fine, I also use it to manual crawl the website. It only shows error when I start new scan with Login Script.

Hi Are you able to email support@portswigger.net with the following: 1) The JSON script of your recorded login sequence 2) A screen recording of the replay of the recorded login sequence 2) Could you send your diagnostics information? You can find this by going to "Help > Diagnostics" within Burp.
