Burpsuite Pro 8.4 (64-bit linux) doesn't start up properly

I just performed the upgrade to version 8.4 and while it seems that the application starts up, no dashboard/windows are opened. Process list shows Burp running. Need some assistance figuring out what's the issue. So far, older versions were running fine without problems. In the meantime, I managed to resolve the problem. It required a complete deletion of any Burp related file/folder including the options/config files in user folder (ie. in '.local' folder). I further reinstalled 8.4 from scratch and it works fine now.
