Burp Suite Professional is not intercepting any request

Hello Burp, When I launch Burp Pro and click on Proxy ==> Open browser, and navigate to https://portswingger.net, nothing happens in the intercept tab. Burp is not intercepting any request and the built-in browser doesn't open any web page. What would be the issue, and how to fix it? Thank you.

Hi Rafael, Just to clarify, you are trying to browse to https://portswigger.net using the embedded browser but the page does not load - do you have 'Intercept is on' or 'Intercept is off' (under Proxy -> Intercept) when you are performing this action? If you have 'Intercept is off' configured, are you seeing any error messages being reported within the Event Log on the Dashboard tab?

Hello Ben, Intercept is on. It still doesn't work.

Hi Rafael, If you have 'Intercept is on' Burp should be holding your request(s) in the Proxy -> Intercept tab waiting for you to perform some manual action on it (web pages will not load without you doing something with the requests as they have not yet reached the destination web server). Is this the case here or are you seeing absolutely nothing in the Proxy -> Intercept tab even when you have 'Intercept is on' and try to browse to a site in the embedded browser? If you are not seeing anything then it might be useful to get some screenshots of exactly what you are doing and seeing to help us understand what is happening more easily - you can send us an email at support@portswigger.net and attach screenshots to the email.

cannot intercept request when intercept is on

Hi Lewis As my colleague stated above, if Intercept is on, the web pages will not load without you doing something with the requests, as they have not yet reached the destination web server.
