Burp Suite Navigation Recorder not working properly

Deepali | Last updated: May 25, 2021 01:21PM UTC

Hi Team, I am trying to capture the login sequence of one web application , where in the second page for authentication, OTP is hardcoded (Same OTP for every login). After capturing the login sequence(JSON format), its been used uploaded in the Burp Suite Enterprise as credential. But the Enterprise is not able to perform the post authentication scan properly and abruptly stopped after 5-10 minutes of scanning. Please help me or guide me how I can resolve this issue. Thank,

Hi Deepali, If you navigate to the scan in question within Burp Enterprise and then view the 'Reporting & logs' tab you should have the ability to download an event log. This log provides information about various milestones that have taken place during the scan - are there any errors noted here for the recorded login sequence? In addition to the above, It looks as though you have access to Burp Professional, is that correct? If so, Burp Professional has the ability to test your recorded login sequences in order to make sure they are working as expected prior to using them in a fully fledged scan. Are you able to record your login sequence and then test it within Burp Professional just so that we can check the sequence works? There are more details on how to do this on the following page: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/desktop/scanning/recorded-logins
