Burp Suite is not working...

Ricardo | Last updated: Oct 24, 2017 05:35PM UTC

Hello, I get Burp Suite free edition to test it in Windows 10 Pro x64, Build 1703 completelly updated in a Dell Inspiron N4050 Intel Core i5 with 8 Gb RAM, enough disk space and Firefox 56.0.1 (64-bits) as my default Browser, NIC Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller 100 Mbps Full Duplex ethernet cabled connected, java version 1.8.0_101 I downloaded and installed the tool correctly, then I followed your instructions to configure Burp Suite (enable Proxy, create certificate, register certificate, etc.) I configured my browser to use Proxy in 127.0.0.1 and to use it for ALL protocols. If I open an HTTP page, it works perfectly fine, but, if I try to open an HTTPS page, then... nothing happens, but really, nothing happens... browser just keep trying to open the address... and in Burp Suite... there is only one register of the address in the HTTP history tab, but there´s no other register in no tab at all... and, of course, browser keeps trying, and trying, and trying..... (to do nothing at all)... I already read some of your articles, and tried to correct the problem as you suggest, but nothing works... can you help me please?... we thing that your Suite can work for us, but I need to test it before think in paying a license. Thank you in advanced...

It sounds like the CA certificate has not properly installed in your browser. Have you tried removing the certificate and reinstalling it? - https://support.portswigger.net/customer/portal/articles/1783088-Installing_Remove%20CA%20Certificate%20-%20FF.html - https://support.portswigger.net/customer/portal/articles/1783087-Installing_Installing%20CA%20Certificate%20-%20FF.html Additionally, you could try using another browser.
