Burp professional - updates and BApp store not working - proxy

Hi, We have a challenge with updating the Burp suite professional and connecting to BApp store. Our machines are behind corporate proxy with SSL inspection turned on, do this cause a problem with the updates and connecting to BApp store? if yes, how to solve this ? Thank you in advance

Thanks for getting in touch.

You can configure an upstream proxy in Burp Professional for the required connection (User options > Connections). Please see the below documentation. The BApp Store and updates are provided through a connection to portswigger.net on port 443.

However if you have SSL inspection turned on this is likely to cause an issue. The easiest fix for this is to ask your proxy administrator to not break SSL connections for portswigger.net.

Thank you James, Upstream proxy configuration works for testing, no concerns there. I figured-out we can use jar version instead of installable, so that we can add proxy cert to java/jdk. updates and BApp Store works good then. Regards, Basavaraj
