Burp is not intercepting request

Florian | Last updated: May 27, 2019 08:56PM UTC

Hi, I have been trying to configure Burp without success, as it is not intercepting requests from localhost. I have used Burp on another computer in the past but I can't get the correct setup to make it work again. My application is running on localhost:59564, and everything in the proxy > options is set to default (I made sure of that by resetting evert part of the tab) except the port, which is 8090 in my case. This is what I have: https://imgur.com/a/6u1xRVL I am using Firefox v67.0 as browser, and the proxy configuration is this one: https://imgur.com/a/FTS7Jc6 As far as I remember, that is all I had to do when I used to use Burp with firefox. But now, Burp doesn't intercept any request (eventhough I do have the "Intercept is on" setup on the Proxy > Intercept tab). Am I missing something? Thanks for your time.

Just to clarify, Burp won't intercept any requests at all? What do you see in your browser when you visit https://portswigger.net? What do you see in the Proxy > Intercept tab?

Are you running IIS Express, we have encountered this issue with this tool recently. If not, one possible method to resolve this issue is to add an entry to your Hosts file: myapp 127.0.0.1 Then in your browser visit http://myapp:59564 In Windows your Hosts file can be found at C:/windows/system32/drivers/etc/hosts. Many thanks for the information and apologies for the inconvenience. Now that you have an account with us you won't experience further difficulties. We have fulfilled your order and have sent you a separate email with instructions for downloading the software and license key. If I can be of any further assistance, please let me know.
