Burp creates two temp folders and only rms wrong one on exit

Taken from: http://forum.portswigger.net/thread/1668/burp-creates-temp-folders-wrong because the problem still exists with: Java 7 x64 on Windows 7 x64 Pro ------------------------------------------- Hi Burp still creates two temp folders on startup, from which only one is actually used. When exiting, the unused one is deleted, which means the temp files remain on the hard disk. Next time Burp starts, the delete temp folder question pops up. Recreated this issue also with changed temp folder location in settings/misc. Please have a look into this issue. Thanks.

We're aware of this issue, which arises because Windows won't let Java delete the memory-mapped temp file while the process is still running. The problem doesn't arise on other operating systems. We plan a permanent fix for this issue later this year.

If Burp fails to delete a folder on exit because Java has it locked, then Burp will silently delete it on the next clean start of Burp, so the user doesn't get prompted.

Has this issue been resolved?

Ax, thanks for this report. We haven't been able to reproduce this in our testing so far. Could you send us a screenshot of the issue and your Burp diagnostics? You can email support@portswigger.net.
