Burp Browser - Getting logged out & "The anti forgery check failed."

Hi I am doing the Portswigger Academy labs using the Browser in Burp Suite on Windows 10. This means I have to sign-in to the site from this browser. However, I am continuously being logged out and when I try to sign back in, I get the error page with the "The anti forgery check failed." message. This just started happening today, I did not have this problem before. I did not update Burp just prior, nor did I change any browser settings. I have tried tinkering with the browser settings but nothing has worked so far. To fix this issue, I generally have to either restart the browser or delete all cookies and sign in again. Problem is, it happens constantly. Either seemingly after a certain short period of time, and often it seems triggered by me opening a new tab (for a lab etc.). Any suggestions very much appreciated.

After a little testing, I found that deleting cookies doesn't actually work, nor does resetting the browser settings to defaults. I have to restart the browser.

I'm also not using a VPN or anything like that.

I should also have mentioned I'm on the latest version: v2022.12.7 Build 18683

Hi Do you experience this issue in other browsers as well, or just in Burp's browser? If you're struggling to complete the Academy labs because of this, you can launch the labs in a different browser, then copy the URL into Burp's browser as a workaround. Alternatively, you can set up an external browser to proxy through Burp. You can find information on how to do this here: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/desktop/external-browser-config
