burp 1.6.36 crashes window manager under GNU/Linux

Hi, since version 1.6.36 I encounter severe problems with burp. I'm running Debian GNU/Linux with awesome window manager. Before I start any Java application I follow advise on http://awesome.naquadah.org/wiki/Problems_with_Java to get proper X Window integration. Burp itself is started via command line: 'java -Xmx2048m -jar burpsuite_pro_v1.6.36.jar'. When I do this with burp up to version 1.6.34 I can use the software like expected. I haven't downloaded .35, but starting from version 1.6.36 the whole window manager crashes. So when I enter the command I shortly see the popup screen with the logo and then the screen goes completely black. I have to restart the window system to get a working system back. Currently I can't provide more info. If you need more information, please write back.

We're not aware of any relevant changes made in Burp 1.6.35 or 1.6.36 that might have affected the desktop GUI. Both releases primarily involved updated Scanner checks. If the entire window manager is crashing then this might be due to a problem with your display drivers or general Java integration with the display. It might be worth trying to reinstall Java. Just in case, please can you email us your debug UD (at Options / Misc / Performance feedback) and we'll see if we have any errors logged for your instance of Burp?

Similar issue for me. Running Kali 2.0 rolling. Burp Pro (1.6.37) loads and runs for a random amount of time before killing X and dropping me at the login prompt. Debug ID: b64bb77f6839587f5d49:kvti Thanks, sw1tch
