Hi, Are you receiving the same 'lab could not be started in a timely manner' error that the original poster was?

Long | Last updated: Apr 07, 2022 04:27AM UTC

No, but every time I do the lab, I can't load it and receive the massage like this "ac661f171e5ef9a9c0ebd3c0006700e5.web-security-academy.net took too long to respond". This problem appeared for a long time that I can't do any labs

Hi, Are you proxying your browser traffic through Burp when you see this behaviour or is this just happening when you launch and try and interact with a lab in a non-proxied browser?

Long | Last updated: Apr 07, 2022 09:13AM UTC

I tried with both proxying through Burp and non-proxied browser

Hi, When you are using a non-proxied browser do you have any issues accessing any other pages from portswigger.net or is it simply the launching of the labs when you see this? On the face of it, the issue would appear to be network related with something impacting your ability to successfully interact with the labs. Do you have the ability to use different network connections to double check this? Have you also attempted to access the labs using different browsers to check if this issue persists?

Long | Last updated: Apr 07, 2022 09:38AM UTC

When using a non-proxied browser, I can accessing all other pages normally but labs. I have only one network so I can't double check my problem. I tried in different browsers and the issue still there

Hi, Are you in a geographic location that might be restricting what sites you can access?

Long | Last updated: Apr 08, 2022 10:52AM UTC

No, my friend can access labs normally. I still can do labs until some months ago

Hi, Is your friend using the same network connection as you? Are you using a vanilla connection or are you using a VPN or anything of that nature?

Long | Last updated: Apr 14, 2022 03:16PM UTC

No, he use other connection. I`m not using any vanilla or VPN, just nature

Ben, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Apr 14, 2022 05:28PM UTC

Hi, I would suggest using the same network as your friend in order to double check whether this works for you.
