Allow Match and Replace to change destination hostname

Rodolpho | Last updated: Jul 20, 2017 01:23PM UTC

Please allow the Match and Replace function to change the destination address as well. It would make it easier to test certain scenarios where requests have to be rediredted to different hosts.

Have you tried using the "Redirect to host:" option in Proxy > Options > Proxy Listeners > Edit > Request Handling? Alternatively, you could try the Traffic Redirector sample extension: - https://portswigger.net/burp/extender/ - https://github.com/PortSwigger/example-traffic-redirector

We do have a story captured in our development backlog to revamp and improve the match and replace rules. We've made a note of your request.

The custom listener works, but it's not always easy to redirect a client for a single host to a different listener port. That kinda feels like you have to do it yourself... The traffic redirector seems to be an okay solution, but it would be the best if this feature was baked in.

Is this feature available now?

Rajesh, this story is still in our backlog. Unfortunately, we can't provide an ETA.
