502 Bad Gateway when trying to use embedded browser

Levina | Last updated: Oct 13, 2020 06:32PM UTC

Hello, I get 502 Bad Gateway from nginx when trying to use the Chromium browser. Any web address results in 502. I'm not on a corporate VPN(thought I assume Burp would work behind VPN?) I really would like to try this feature, how do I go about resolving this issue? Thanks!

Hi If you have an upstream proxy set, then Burp will respect those rules. Could you try running an embedded browser health check? You can find this option in the "Help" menu in Burp.

Hello, I changed the port number in the proxy listener and it's working now! For the record, the health check didn't show any errors. It completed successfully. Initiating health check Checking platform supported Success Checking browser binaries Success Checking headless browser Success Creating embedded browser documentation window Success Thanks for your help.
