The scan is configured to use recorded login sequences. This requires browser-powered scanning, which your hardware does not support. Please see the system requirements for details.

Hi Georgy, It looks like your agent machines are not meeting the minimum system requirements to use the embedded browser (2 CPU cores and 8 GB RAM on top of the additional requirements listed here: https://portswigger.net/burp/documentation/enterprise/technical-infrastructure/technical-requirements/system-requirements). Can you please double-check this and try again?

Georgy | Last updated: Nov 18, 2020 02:21PM UTC

All agents have 16GB RAM and 2 cpu cores.

How many external agent machines do you have? How many agents are installed on these machines? Or is everything installed on the same machine? If so, how many agents are on that machine?

Georgy | Last updated: Nov 18, 2020 03:19PM UTC

3 machines for agents. 5 license for agents.

Uthman, PortSwigger Agent | Last updated: Nov 18, 2020 03:33PM UTC

With 3 external agent machines each with one agent, you would need the specs below for each individual machine: - 30GB disk space - 10GB RAM (with browser-powered scanning enabled) or 6GB RAM with it disabled - 6 CPU cores It does not look like you are meeting these requirements so that is why your issue is occurring. Can you please try increasing the specs on the machines to see if that resolves your issue?

I set next settings on the 3 agents nodes. 8 cpu 32GB RAM free 30GB space (total 50) Error repeats. Where can I see what exactly is missing? How enable debug log?

I see "Audit failed! Crawl was configured to use embedded browser, but a browser could not be started" in /var/log/BurpSuiteEnterpriseEdition/enterpriseAgent.log

Hi Georgy, Thanks for that information. If you launch Chrome from the command-line at /home/burpsuite/.BurpSuite/burpbrowser/<VERSION>, do you see any errors?

Can you try installing the packages 'freetype-dev' and 'chromium'?

Eric | Last updated: Jun 03, 2021 01:43PM UTC

My path for the chrome browser was different than some of the docs. I resolved this issue with the following commands: cd /var/lib/BurpSuiteEnterpriseEdition/burpbrowser/90.0.4430.212 sudo chown root:root chrome-sandbox sudo chmod 4755 chrome-sandbox
