Hi Riaz, The update URL is https://portswigger.net/Burp/Releases/CheckForUpdates but whitelisting https://portswigger.net/ should be sufficient.

Hello, I am facing the same issue. I allowed portwigger.net. But burpsuite pro app is trying to access amazon server(*.eu-west-1.compute.amazonaws.com). I cannot allow this address as it is not a fixed ip. Can you help me?

Thanks for your message. Can you tell us about your setup, please? Are you able to browse to https://portswigger.net from a browser that is not proxied via Burp on the same machine? If so, does your normal browser use an internal/company proxy server?

Hello Michelle, Our institution has a proxy network. The device we use is also included in this network. However, our Burp suite pro tool exits directly through the firewall without using a proxy. We have defined the necessary permissions to portswiger.net and we can access it through the browser. But because it changes the ip address very fast during the download, the download is interrupted before it can be completed. Can you give your IP address range? Let's do authorization for this range.

Thanks for the update. The other IP addresses you are seeing will relate to portswigger-cdn.net, so if you add this to the whitelist as well then things should work better for you. Please let me know if this helps and if you have any further questions.
