Recording Macro- Support for popup windows , or multiple windows for authentication

Hello, I am attempting to record a login macro for a web application pentest. I have tried utilizing burp recorder extension for chrome, but seem to get the notification that popup windows are not supported when pasting the script in. Is this feature not supported with Burpsuite Pro, and is only available with burpsuite enterprise? Seems a bit silly to not support something that is apart of the application. Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Jake, Pop-up windows, as part of a login sequence, are not currently supported in either Burp Professional or Burp Enterprise so, unfortunately, this will not work for you when you are trying to use a recorded login in either product. We have had, however, other users ask for the ability to carry out recorded logins on sites that have pop-up windows as part of the login sequence so we do have an existing feature request for this. I will add your interest to this particular request so that our developers can prioritize their resources based upon demand. We will also update this thread if we have any further news to share about this feature.

Hello, I am checking in on this feature request. My stakeholders are asking for an update on if this will be within the window of 01 july - to 30 sept? We have an application that requires multiple windows of auth. Wondering if this is something we can expect soon? Respectfully, Jake

Hi Jake Although this is something we're going to be looking at I'm afraid we're not yet in a position to commit to a firm release date for the feature, this will depend on the exact development and results of testing cycles. We have got this thread linked though so we can let you know when there are updates. I'm sorry we can't be more precise at this stage.

Hi Michelle, I am circling back here on this request. Over the past few months I have looking for any new feature enhancements for recorded login macro's. In the 2021.09.01 release I see that they released support for iframes, but not pop up windows? Could you please provide some sort of update on when this could be available? Thanks - Jake
